Purpose-built mechanical pipe cleaning systems that cut, abrade and remove heavy deposits from sewer and drainage pipes — without excavation, without water jetting, without compromise. Chain-driven. Field-proven.
Hardened mineral scale, compacted grease, embedded roots and heavy corrosion often cannot be removed by water pressure alone. Mechanical chain cleaning physically cuts deposits off the pipe wall.
Three configurations. One philosophy: maximum cleaning effectiveness with the simplest, most reliable mechanical design.

Common questions about NoDig high-speed mechanical pipe cleaning machines.
High-speed mechanical pipe cleaning uses motor-driven chains rotating at high rotational speed inside a pipe to physically cut and abrade deposits from the pipe wall — mineral scale, limescale, compacted grease, root intrusions and corrosion layers. Unlike water jetting, which pushes material through the pipe, mechanical chain cleaning removes it from the wall surface and creates the clean, profiled substrate required for subsequent epoxy lining. NoDig builds three chain-cleaning machines — V8, V1 and Mini6 — covering pipe diameters from DN50 to DN200 and above. Learn about the next step: epoxy rehabilitation →
NoDig cleaning machines cover DN50 to DN200 and above. The Mini6 is designed for smaller residential and inspection pipes in the DN50–DN80 range. The V1 handles diameters up to approximately DN100, suitable for residential and light commercial work. The V8 is the heavy-duty model for municipal and industrial infrastructure, covering DN100–DN150 and beyond depending on tooling configuration. For follow-on epoxy rehabilitation, the ProLight and ProLight2 cover DN50–DN150, while The Pipe Boy extends coverage to DN300.
The V8 is NoDig's heavy-duty pipe cleaning machine, engineered for demanding municipal, industrial and infrastructure applications. It delivers higher torque and power for hard mineral deposits and heavy corrosion in larger diameter pipes (DN100–DN150+). The V1 is the compact, mobile alternative — faster to deploy, well-suited to residential and light commercial work up to approximately DN100. For the smallest diameters (DN50–DN80), the Mini6 is the most suitable choice. All three share a compatible accessories system — chains, cables and heads can be matched to pipe diameter and deposit type regardless of machine.
Yes — and this is one of the most critical applications of NoDig cleaning equipment. Mechanical chain cleaning with V8, V1 or Mini6 removes all deposits and creates the surface profile required for NoDig BSE two-component epoxy to bond correctly to the pipe wall. Residual scale, grease or corrosion will directly compromise adhesion and reduce the service life of the lining. NoDig recommends mechanical chain cleaning as the mandatory pre-treatment step before any ProLight, ProLight2 or The Pipe Boy epoxy application. The pipe must also be dried completely after cleaning before epoxy is applied.

Yes — training is included as standard with every NoDig purchase, not as an optional extra. Operators are trained at the NoDig Training Centre in Osijek, covering machine setup, chain and tooling selection, cleaning technique for different deposit types, post-cleaning inspection, and surface preparation for epoxy lining. Long-term technical support and spare parts availability are also included. To learn about the full rehabilitation workflow including epoxy application, visit the Epoxy Pipe Rehabilitation page.
Talk directly to the manufacturer. We'll help you choose between V8, V1 and Mini6 based on your pipe diameters, deposit types and operational requirements. Mon–Fri 08:00–16:00 CET.
